Guy Dupuy's New Dunk Video

Over the weekend at London's Nike Midnight Madness, amateur dunk champ Guy Dupuy did this:

Never before has someone done an off-the-bounce, over someone standing, between the legs dunk. At least not on camera.

Watch Guy Dupuy in the YouTube video below for the reverse angle — it's just as spectacular.

Shaq Vs Ben Roethlisberger

New ABC reality sports show "Shaq Vs.," premiere stars NBA star Shaquille O’Neal last night. According to avclub.com, the show has Shaq as the host, who travels across the country to challenge sports professionals to a series of competitions.

And in last night’s very first episode, Shaq took on Pittsburgh Steeler quarterback and reigning Super Bowl champion Ben Roethlisberger. The challenge was to take on Ben in a quick football scrimmage and for Shaq to prove that he can beat "Big Ben," as he is known in the game.

Shaquille certainly showed that he is indeed a gifted athlete at anything he tries and seemed to pick up the steps and ball handling skills pretty quickly. Shaq certainly comes across as enthusiastic for the show.

John Wall Dunks On NBA Star Jerry Stackhouse Video

John Wall, the nation's top recruit from the class of 2009, has yet to play a game for John Calipari at Kentucky, but the incoming freshman has already drawn attention for his fantastic moves.

John Wall dunked on NBA star veteran Jerry Stackhouse at Great NC Pro-Am Summer Basketball League. Wall cruises past a defender on the perimeter and rises up on Stackhouse, who is the last remaining defender. Just as LeBron James was a step too late to prevent Xavier guard Jordan Crawford from posterizing him last month, the same fate fell upon Stackhouse at an event he helped found. Only this time - unlike LeBron's case - Stackhouse's people didn't confiscate the video. The former NBA star handled it appropriately, inbounding the ball and hustling back down the court. The public address announcer can be heard saying, "John Wall's in the building!"

The rest of college basketball will soon recognize the name -- and awe-inspiring moves.

LeBron James Speaks About Getting Dunked On

LeBron James finally speaks up about getting dunked on by Jordan Crawford at his Nike skills camp. Lebron also speaks about the reason why he didn't shake hand with Orlando Magic players after losing from them in the Eastern Conference finals.

In an exclusive interview with the National Association of Black Journalists Sports Taskforce, LeBron James spoke candidly for the first time about those stuff and more. Here are some quotes straight from LeBron's mouth.

LeBron James speaks about "Dunkgate":

"I never told anyone to confiscate any tapes. Nike has a no videotape policy at pick-up games. They've always done that. Now that LeBron is involved, it's blown up. It's a play that happens in basketball all the time. You can go on YouTube and see me being dunked on by a lot of guys. I like to call myself a shot blocker and [getting dunked on] tends to happen. Jordan Crawford is going to be a good basketball player ..."

LeBron James speaks about the last game vs. Orlando Magic:

"I wouldn't have done it the same. I would have done the media. Looking back on it, without you guys, there's no LeBron James, D-Wade, Tiger Woods or no Peyton Manning. If I could have started over again, I would have done the media. As I thought about it I could see why people were talking about because your job starts when mine ends.

"But as far as the dunk or whatever car I'm driving, some things you shouldn't comment and some things you should. I look at the no handshake like this — during the regular season, no one ever shakes hands. You move on to the next game. I congratulated Dwight Howard(notes) through email and told him good luck in the Finals. Shaking hands is not a big deal to me. It's not being a sore loser, it’s moving on. Sometimes people want you to accept losing and I'll never accept losing."

The Video: LeBron James Dunked On

LeBron James dunked on by Xavier's Jordan Crawford video tape has been released today. After seeing it, I really wonder why King James and Nike official have to confiscate the video tape. Surely, it's not a big deal! It's just that LeBron James rotating a little slow on defense and getting caught at the rim by a college boy.

Watch LeBron James dunked on video from two different angles here.

Yao Ming to Exercise Medical Tests

Yao Ming’s broken left foot has been a really bad news for the Houston Rockets team and fans. The fear that Yao won't play for the next season (or maybe even longer) grows as the NBA draft approaching.

"The realization has hit them that this is grave," one NBA general manager said.

Daryl Morey, Houston Rockets general manager won't give any comment on Monday and a Rockets spokesman said they will not have further comment until Yao Ming undergoes additional medical tests.

Blake Griffin 2009 NBA Draft No.1 Pick

LA Clippers began Thursday night’s draft with the obvious choice: Blake Griffin. The 20 year old Griffin was the consensus college basketball player of the year after leading the nation with 14.4 rebounds per game while averaging 22.7 points last season for Oklahoma Sooners. Clippers would take Blake Griffin with the top pick just hours after they won the 2009 NBA Draft lottery last month, and never considered changing their minds.

The 2009 NBA Draft followed a day of big deal in the NBA: Shaquille O’Neal will join LeBron James' Cleveland Cavaliers and Vince Carter to play for Orlando Magic.

Magic Acquired Nets Guard Vince Carter

Orlando Magic have brought in All Star New Jersey Nets guard Vince Carter in a 5 player trade. Magic also acquired forward Ryan Anderson, and in return gave NJ Nets Courtney Lee and Rafer Alston and Tony Battie. The Magic Nets trade will allow NJ Nets to clear almost $18 million of cap space for the 2010-11 season and ships the 32 year Vince Carter back to his home state of Florida. Vince Carter now lives in Orlando. He spent almost five years with New Jersey Nets, after coming over in a blockbuster deal from Toronto early in the 2004-05 season.

Shaq Traded to the Cavs for Two

Phoenix Suns have agreed to trade Shaq to the Cavs for two Cavs players on Wednesday, according to some media reports. The Cavs were looking for frontcourt support for LeBron James after losing from Magic in the Eastern Conference finals this season. Cavs will send Ben Wallace and Sasha Pavlovic, the 46th pick in Thursday’s draft and cash to the Suns for Shaq. James has agreed the Shaq trade, especially because it should give his overmatched frontline a chance to compete with Dwight Howard in the playoffs.

Shaquille O'Neal MMA Challenge

Former LA Lakers player Shaquille O'Neal calls out an even bigger man, Hong Man Choi. Shaquille O'Neal has trained MMA and seems to believe he's pretty damn good too. O'Neal says he is retiring soon and he’s coming after Hong Man Choi and maybe even good old Chuck Liddell some day.

Shaquille O'Neal has been training for years, but he apparently spotted a weakness in the game of Choi Hong-man that made him decide to cast his hat in the ring—or cage. Hong-man was the giant Korean kickboxer who did us all a favor by beating up Jose Canseco for a minute or so.

Kobe Bryant 2009 NBA Finals MVP

Kobe Bryant can smile this time. With his leading, LA Lakers grabbed the 2009 NBA title in Game 5 of NBA Finals against Orlando Magic on Sunday. Scoring 30 points, six rebounds, five assists in Game 5 and averaging 32.4 points for the series, Bryant was named NBA Finals MVP.

Kobe Bryant has four championship rings now, and he won the fourth without Shaquille O'Neal as a teammate. "Felt like a big, ol' monkey was off my back," said Bryant, "I don't have to hear that idiotic criticism anymore." All this time he has been tired of hearing people said that he cannot win another NBA title without O'Neal. LA Lakers, making their 30th NBA Finals appearance, had not won NBA title since 2002, the last of three consecutive championships — all with O'Neal as the starting center.

Kobe Bryant's LA Lakers: 2009 NBA Finals Champions

Kobe Bryant led LA Lakers past Orlando Magic 99-86 in 2009 NBA Finals Game 5 on Sunday night, giving Los Angeles Lakers its 15th NBA title. Lakers coach Phil Jackson won his record-breaking 10th NBA title, surpassing the nine Boston legend Red Auerbach won from 1950-66.

The championship came one season after LA Lakers lost to Boston Celtics in NBA Finals. Kobe Bryant since then committed himself to give Los Angeles NBA champions title, and showed a renewed intensity throughout NBA playoffs to get it done. Bryant said his children called him "Grumpy" because he was so serious about winning an NBA title.

And now, at last, Kobe Bryant delivered the championship without Shaquille O'Neal, and he didn't have to be spectacular to do it. He scored 30 points in Game 5.

Dwight Howard Wants to Make History by Winning NBA Finals Game 5

"We want to try to make history," Orlando Magic center Dwight Howard said. "We’ve done a lot of things this year as far as a team and individuals and reaching a lot of different goals and breaking records and stuff like that, so why not try and do something else?" Howard said confidently on Saturday that NBA Finals will be headed back to LA for a Game 6. Orlando Magic are 3-1 deficit to LA Lakers.

Stan Van Gundy doesn’t want Magic to believe they can win NBA Finals Game 5 unless they first believe they can still win the championship. That would take a record rally—no team in 29 previous tries has won the title after 3-1 deficit in NBA Finals. Magic’s challenge might be just as hard.

Winning three straight against LA Lakers is another story. Even so, Dwight Howard and Orlando Magic believe they can be the first NBA team to mount such a comeback. So, watch NBA Finals Game 5 this Sunday to see Howard making history.

Lakers forward Pau Gasol scored the remaining five points. Magic could have equalized the series if Dwight Howard had not missed two free throws with 11.1 seconds left in regulation. Orlando Magic, Kobe Bryant's Monster

Kobe Bryant seems to understand now how dangerous Orlando Magic can be at their Amway Arena. Bryant has seen Magic, who shot an NBA finals-record 62 percent from the field—75 percent in the first half—in their Game 3 victory, turn into a monster.

"This team can stay hot for weeks. They can get hot and stay hot. When that happens, you’re dealing with a monster." Bryant said Wednesday.

Orlando Magic were clicking again during their 108-104 victory in Game 3 after losing the two first games in LA's Staples Center. It was Orlando Magic’s first finals victory in franchise history and one they absolutely had to have.

Magic Won 108-104 over Lakers

At last Dwight Howard and Orlando Magic won a game in NBA Finals after seven tries on Tuesday night Game 3. Magic has lost the first two games in Los Angeles' Staples Center: Game 1 by 25 points and Game 2 in OT, coming within an alley-oop hoop of a victory.

Rafer Alston (pictured) and the rest of Magic team shot a finals record 63 percent to snap a six-game finals losing streak and avoid having 0-3 loss that no team in postseason NBA history has been able to escape.

Magic slowed LA Lakers' earlier party plan and even made Kobe Bryant pushed, jumping back into the best-of-seven series by posting a 108-104 victory at Amway Arena in Orlando. Orlando Magic's first-ever victory in NBA Finals trimmed Lakers' series lead to 2-1 heading into Game 4 on Thursday night.

LA Lakers Takes a 2-0 Lead in NBA Finals

Kobe Bryant proved himself to be an NBA star again as LA Lakers grabbed an 101-96 overtime victory against Orlando Magic to take a 2-0 lead in 2009 NBA Finals. Kobe led Lakers with 29 points but they failed to repeat the domination as they did in Game 1. Pau Gasol, who had 24 points and 10 rebounds, scored seven of the Lakers' 13 points in the overtime to key Lakers' victory.

Kobe Bryant: Game 2 Won't be the Same

LA Lakers are convinced they will not see the same Orlando Magic team in Game 2 of NBA Finals. Magic was outplayed, out-hustled and out-coached in Game 1, a 100-75 blowout by Lakers, and Lakers star Kobe Bryant said a repeat performance was unlikely to happen.
